nihilism is self contradictory. it asserts there is no intrinsic and inherent meaning to life. this does not negate extrinsic meaning, and therefore allowing humans the capability to create their own meaning in life through social construction. isn’t that more important than being ascribed purpose by a god? it’s ironic that i believed nihilism had created a brief insight into what freedom means, when in reality it confines you to the kind of nothingness that disregards the freedom we are capable of; the capability to reason, to understand, to empathize, to think in observation of the human experience.
